Fines of 10 thousand pesos for listening to music at high volume

To avoid fines for noise pollution, the municipality’s Department of Ecology called on the community to become aware and moderate the volume of the loudspeakers, in order to avoid a sanction for this cause.

César René Díaz, director of Ecology, announced that the fine is equivalent to 100 Units of Measurement and Updating (UMA), which is equivalent to 10 thousand pesos the fine for those neighbors who have music at a very high volume and do not respect the schedules allowed.

He explained that so far in the month of July, six reports have been attended by neighbors who hold parties in their homes with the volume of the loudspeakers very high, as well as businesses that likewise do not respect the allowed decibel level, which is below 50 in a normal schedule until 2:00 in the morning on weekends and during the week until 24:00 hours.

He announced that of the six complaints that citizens have made so far this month, they have been attended in sectors such as the El Granjero neighborhood, Zaragoza and in homes in the downtown area of the city, as well as pharmacies or dens of the Gómez Morín.

“It is handled in the style of the Governorate maximum at 2:00 in the morning and during the week at 12:00 when it is a meeting like a party, we also receive negotiation complaints when the music is very loud at gas stations, especially those that are in the downtown area or pharmacies that pump and also receive a fine”, explained the director of Ecology.

He invited the community that if they have a party in their homes, they celebrate in a moderate way and do not exceed the volume of the music, since they may be subject to a fine, which is attended by Public Security.
