Federal Minister of Transport Andreas Scheuer (CSU) only wants to undo tightenings for drivers shortly after the new road traffic regulations come into force.
Restore sense of justice
This causes great excitement among drivers, the Ministry says. With a change, the acceptance among the citizens and the “sense of justice” should be restored. What is actually planned is open. However, the ministry had already approached the federal states in order to obtain the approval required for their implementation.
The changes to the traffic regulations came into force at the end of April. The Federal Council tightened Scheuer’s bill on many points, including the rule on driving bans for speeders. The new road rules focus on better protection for cyclists.
