Fine for producers after fatal shot on film set with Alec Baldwin: “Production house fully responsible”

The shooting incident took place in October 2021 at the Bonanza Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico and cost the life of camera director Halyna Hutchins. Director Joel Souza was seriously injured.

A months-long investigation revealed that the makers of “Rust” were not very careful with safety protocols for using weapons on set. Management knew that the rules were not being followed, but reacted indifferently and took no action to do anything about it, it said.
