Jaromír Soukup’s name has been mentioned in recent months mainly in connection with the million-dollar debts of his companies. Agáta Hanychová’s partner even had to foreclose on his daughter’s apartment in order to pay off debts, but apparently the businessman’s financial problems are even bigger than it might seem at first glance.
Acclaimed journalist Aleš Borovan hinted that another blow is being prepared against Soukup. “The guys from Brno are grinding their teeth on the hundred million debts of Soukup’s group. The big behind-the-scenes carousel, which concerns the voluminous liabilities of Jaromír Soukup’s media group, is apparently approaching one of the turning points. to the media agency Médea from this spring was just a prelude,” the journalist wrote on the paid site Borovan.cz.
Even the editorial staff of Extra managed to find out in the past that the rescue of the recent insolvency of the companies definitely did not end Soukup’s debts, and various creditors are preparing to get their money back. “This gentleman can’t sleep easy. He already owes so much to so many companies. I don’t think his business will turn out well,” a source from the media business told the same website.
Allies are masquerading as enemies
Most recently, the scandal regarding Jaromír Soukup’s company was resolved, for which Czech Television and service organization TV Prima demanded tens of millions. These were primarily unpaid invoices for broadcast advertisements. In the end, however, they withdrew the application for bankruptcy. Before that, there were other insolvency proposals, but Soukup always came out of them unscathed.
The media tycoon himself also commented on the current claim of Aleš Borovan, who told the above-mentioned website that he is definitely not in any danger and that the alleged “boys from Brno” are in fact only his business partners.
“I’m reading it with interest. There’s just a small mistake. Allies are being passed off as enemies. But I have no idea what it’s all about. We’re discussing cooperation with our allies. That’s a general statement. Allies are allies. Aleš Borovan he misinterprets it. It’s as I say. Allies are allies,” answered Jaromír Soukup in a very strange way. The fact is that his Medea was indeed facing millions of debts and it is a question of how long he will be able to manage the situation if he continues to push the huge claims.
