Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani joked about the 2024 Election at the DPR RI Budget Body. The joke about the word ‘amen’ that recently emerged was related to Anies-Cak Imin. (brin.go.id).

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani joking about the election 2024 at the Budget Agency DPR R.I. He made the joke when discussing the 2024 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Bill (RUU APBN).
Ani, her nickname, initially appreciated the harmony between members of the DPR RI Banggar from different political parties in discussing the bill. He then hopes that this can be a reflection and benchmark for harmony ahead of the 2024 elections.
“Hopefully the harmony of all leaders and members of the Indonesian Budget Agency is a reflection and barometer for the 2024 General Election which is peaceful, safe, and can elect leaders and representatives of the people who voice and answer Indonesia’s challenges,” said Ani in a joint working meeting with Banggar DPR RI in Central Jakarta, Tuesday (19/9).
“May Allah SWT always protect and provide guidance for the efforts and steps we will take, Amin ya rabbal alamin,” he added emphasizing the word ‘in‘ while smiling and laughing.
Say ‘in‘ from the State Treasurer was greeted enthusiastically by the council members. In fact, member of the DPR RI Banggar from the NasDem faction, Fauzi Amro, said, “So sad, ma’am,” he said.
After that, Sri Mulyani closed her remarks with greetings typical of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) residents.
“God bless you and your loved ones, and you will be safe and sound. Shalom, om santi santi santi om, namo buddhaya, greetings of virtue,” he concluded.
Ani’s joke was welcomed by Chairman of the DPR RI Banggar, Said Abdullah. The PDI-P politician said that the government and the DPR agreed on the contents of the 2024 APBN Bill and agreed to it.
“We agree with everything. Just agree, don’t agree, don’t agree,” he said while laughing.
“Can we take the opinion of the mini factions regarding the Bill (APBN 2024) in this working meeting for level I decision making to level II at the upcoming 21st Plenary Session (September 2023)? Agree?” Said asked, answered by the meeting participants’ cries of agreement and the tapping of gavels.
The government and the DPR RI Banggar also signed the text of the 2024 APBN Bill which had been agreed at level I to be brought to the Plenary Session on Thursday (21/9).
The words ‘amen’ appeared a lot in this working meeting, especially from members of the DPR RI Banggar whose party is nominating the candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar in the 2024 presidential election. Recently, AMIN has indeed become an acronym for the candidate pair for president and vice president. .
