Finally sync Shazam with all your Apple devices

Do you happen to hear a catchy song, but have no idea what it’s called or who sings it? You’ll soon find out with Shazam. And now you can sync your music you searched in Shazam across all your Apple devices!

Sync Shazam devices

Rolling back: Shazam is an app that helps you identify music quickly and easily. It works by scanning an (unknown) song for a few seconds, after which it immediately shows the artist and the name of the song. You don’t even need to download the app to do this: since 2020, there’s one built-in Shazam scanner in the control panel of you iPhone an iPad.

If you have downloaded the app, the music recognition function has recently become a lot more accessible to you. From now on, all songs you scan with Shazam will be synced across all your Apple devices. For example, if you use the iPhone app to recognize a number, you will also find it later in the app on your iPad† This way you have access to your music history everywhere, while you previously had an individual overview per device. Even numbers that you scan via the control panel end up in the app.

These are the conditions

Want to sync Shazam across all your Apple devices? Then you must meet the following conditions. The most important thing is that your iPhone is on iOS 15 running and that you Shazam-app update to version 15.14. The music recognition button in the control panel of your device is therefore not enough: you really have to download the app. Then you must be signed in with the same Apple ID on all your Apple devices. Then you have access to one compact overview of your scanned music everywhere!
