F1 has announced the provisional starting grid for the final of the 2022 F1 Japanese Grand Prix.
In the Japanese F1 GP, Nicholas Latifi (Williams) was assessed a relegation penalty of 5 grids due to contact with Zhou Guanyu (Alfa Romeo) in the previous round in Singapore, but as Latifi finished qualifying deep, the grille there is no change of position.
Pole position is Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing), and the front row is Charles Leclerc (Scuderia Ferrari) second on the grid. Carlos Sainz Jr on the 3rd grid, Sergio Perez on the 4th grid and the blue and red cars line up in the first two rows.
The third and fourth rows are occupied by Alpine F1 and Mercedes F1.
Yuki Tsunoda (Scuderia AlphaTauri) is in the 7th row, 13th on the grid.
The formation lap of the F1 Japanese GP final will take place from 2pm on Sunday 9 October.
