Directly from State of Playa Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will arrive on PlayStation 5 on February 29th of next year, accompanied by a beautiful official trailer.

We know that progression will have some changes compared to the previous game, Final Fantasy VII Remake. This may cause some confusion at first, but the creative team assures that there were no cuts to the material.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a reimagining of the classic game, originally released in 1997, developed under the guidance of the original creators.
Exploiting Mako, the lifeblood of the planet, through its reactors, the Shinra Electric Power Company has taken control of the entire world. A group of idealists, known as Avalanche, is one of the last bastions of resistance. In this, Cloud, an elite soldier turned mercenary, participates in an operation to destroy the Mako 1 Reactor in Midgar.
The bombing plunges the city into fiery chaos, and Cloud is tormented by visions of a bitter enemy long thought dead.
Once again a story begins that will shape the destiny of an entire world.
It is worth remembering that the edition Intergrade includes INTERmissionan additional episode starring Yuffie Kisaragi, where the character needs to infiltrate Midgar, specifically Avalanche HQ, to steal material from the Shinra Electric Power Company.
