Hollywood loves Germany. The proof: The fifth part of “Hunger Games” is filmed here.

The film adaptation of the novel series by star author Suzanne Collins (59) has long been a global success. The four films that have been released to date have brought three billion euros into the box office worldwide.
Now the fifth film is being made (“Hunger Games: The Song of Birds and Snakes”), the action of which begins 64 years before the previously known story.
Preparations are currently taking place in Poland, things will really get going in a few days. So far, Cologne, Duisburg and Hatting (NRW) have been known as film locations, but sets are already being built in the Babelsberg studio (near Potsdam).
The “Hunger Games” (English original title) will soon begin here – and also in Berlin’s city centre.
In the 2010s, Jennifer Lawrence (31) rose to fame in the role of Katniss Everdeen.
The leading actress for the prehistory of the Panem films will be “West Side Story” star Rachel Zegler (21). Theatrical release: November 2023.
