King Filip and Queen Mathilde of Belgium were able to see with their own eyes how corona patients are cared for in the hospital on Tuesday. The royal couple visited the Bois de L’Abbaye hospital in Seraing to talk to employees. The images were shared on Twitter.

During their visit, the king and queen visited the corona department, where soldiers have been assisted since the beginning of November. Filip and Mathilde took the time to hear the experiences of, among others, department heads and management. The couple also talked to an 87-year-old patient who had just been cured of the corona virus.
The king and queen announced via their social media that “the second corona wave has put the capacity of the Liège hospitals under heavy pressure”. Director Stephanie de Simone was very happy with the arrival of the king and queen. “We are happy that the royal couple has visited our hospital,” she said.
