Enppi coach Hilmi Toulan praised the player, striker Mohamed Sharif, who strongly hesitated to return to Al-Ahly after his loan ended at the end of the season.
“I am pleased with the brilliance of the loaned players from Al-Ahly under my leadership,” Tolan said on Radio Sport. “Ammar Hamdi joined the Alexandrian Union last season, and he trains with the juniors, and with us he joined the first team.”
He added, “Muhammad Sharif also starred and became one of the league’s top scorer, and prompted Al-Ahly officials to seriously consider regaining it.
He pointed out, “Muhammad Sharif found chemistry with Enppi, as it is a difficult factor to find among the ranks of the big clubs, and if Al-Ahly needs Muhammad Sharif, he will include him.
Asked if Muhammad Sharif would fit Al-Ahly, Helmi Tolan replied, “It may succeed, but Muhammad Sharif is not (a station attacker) on whom to build games.”
“Mohamed Sherif tends to play directly against the opponent’s goal, he always plays with his goal in front of the goal,” he said. “It is an advantage, and I employ him well.”
Tolan said, “Muhammad will need someone to create many opportunities for him.”
