FilGoal | News | Sky: Barcelona has set its goal to replace Dembele

Barcelona appear to have set their goal to replace the injury of Frenchman Osman Dembele, whose season ended, Brazilian Willian Jose from Real Sociedad.

Barcelona announced yesterday the absence of its player until the end of the season after it was decided to perform surgery on the ligaments of the right knee (see details).

Despite the end of the transfer market, Barcelona has the right to include a new deal.

Football laws allow any club to restrict a player outside the summer and winter transfers in two cases: First, he is a free player unrestricted with any other club, or one of the players suffers a long injury and then his club is allowed to assign an exceptional alternative from within the same country.

According to Sky, Barcelona have only 15 days if they seek to include the Sociedad striker.

Barcelona hopes to obtain the 28-year-old Brazilian contract to pay the 70-million-euro penalty clause.

Real Sociedad president spoke to the Spanish radio “Marca” earlier saying: “We have not had any discussion with anyone, I don’t know what will happen. I read about this but in reality the transfer market is over and I cannot comment.”

Barcelona suffers an offensive crisis, with Luis Suarez injured, and Carles Perez leaving for Rome.

This leaves Coach Kiki Citen in front of only 3 options in the front line: Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Anso Fati.

The Brazilian was one of the most prominent names associated with the transition to Tottenham’s English classes to make up for Harry Kane’s absence in the last winter transfer market.

Jose scored 8 goals in 21 league games this season.
