Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala”, leader of Zamalek, prefers to wait another period before deciding to return the Egyptian League to resume again.
“The most important thing is the safety of all, everyone should be aware that all players have families who are afraid of them,” Shikabala said in his remarks to Channel One.
“What is happening in Europe and Germany is that every team has only seven or eight games left, but here we are left with a full role in the league.”
“I think we should wait for another period, especially in light of the increasing numbers of people who are infected with the Corona virus now, so we have to wait until things calm down and then go back to a new league,” he added.
“If we take all the necessary medical procedures, then after the matches are over, we do not know how everyone will behave outside their club,” Shikabala stressed.
Asked if he had continued the experience of the German Bundesliga return, he answered, “Yes, I did, but it is clear that all players are still very far from their level.”
And he continued, “Also, the fun of these matches in the mass attendance. There are matches if the player feels exhausted and gets a moral boost from the audience, so his enthusiasm rises, but running games without fans is strange for them of course.”
He stressed, “The matches are different from the exercises, no matter how I keep training every day. Running the matches is something completely different. I think the level of the players and their performance in the matches in Germany will remain far from the strength that we know for a while.”
And about the dramas that he pursued during the month of Ramadan, he answered, “I saw a lot like choice, Prince, Fatwa and 100 Ws.”
“I hope we can see other works like selection, because this series contributed to making many understand the reality of what is actually going on and everyone should be aware of the extent of the effort made by the men of the army,” Shikabala concluded.
