Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek, announced his club’s intention to return to the Arab Championship starting next season.
This came during a video published by the President of Zamalek through his official account on “YouTube” during his meeting with the players of the white team before traveling to Tunisia to meet Esperance.
Mourtada said, “I tell the fans of Tunisia, this team is a guest with you and you are a civilized people, so treat them well.”
He continued, “There was no problem with the Egyptian security authorities, but we have a law that criminalizes igniting the history, and the matter was quickly resolved after I contacted the ministers of sport and interior, and no fan of impeachment was harmed.”
He added, “We will meet a lot Africa and Arab, and we will participate in the Arab championship next season.”
The conversation was passed on to Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala”, the leader of Zamalek, who said: “We promised you to return the African and Egyptian Super Cups, and we achieved that.”
“We will go to the semi-finals of Tunisia and win the title,” he concluded.
Zamalek will come next Friday to Esperance in Rades stadium for its match in the second leg of the African Champions League quarter-final, after winning it back in Cairo with three goals to one goal.
