Mortada Mansour, President of Zamalek, sent a letter to the Minister of Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, in which he requested an intervention to stop the sanctions issued against him by the Egyptian Olympic Committee.
In his speech to the Minister of Sports, Mortada said: “I demand the abolition of all arbitrary penalties and consider them as equal and nothing. In the event that your Excellency refuses to fulfill your stipulated role, this is the second time a negative administrative decision.
The Egyptian Olympic Committee had issued a decision banning Mortada Mansour from practicing any sporting activity for four years, with a fine of 100,000 pounds.
It is noteworthy that Sherif El-Erian, secretary of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, confirmed that Murtaza has the right to appeal the decisions within a week of their issuance date, in addition to the appeal against the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center or the Sports Court in Switzerland.
