Alaa Waheed, the spokesman for the Ismaili club’s board of directors, spoke about the possibility of Abdel Rahman Magdy, the team’s player, moving to Al-Ahly.
“We have not received an official offer from Al-Ahly to include Abdel-Rahman Magdy,” Wahid said on the radio program, Al-Saqr Stadium. “The player is also registered in the team’s primary list.”
He added, “Abdel-Rahman signed a new contract for 5 seasons, and will not enter into any exchange deal with Al-Ahly, and all that is reported is mere rumors. There is no room for neglecting the main pillars of the team.”
Alaa Waheed concluded his speech on this matter, “There are players nominated from Al-Ahly and other clubs to join the Ismaili ranks, and the Contracting Committee will settle all matters according to the technical needs of the team.”
Magdy, 23, is preparing for his fourth season with the Dervish team, which has moved him from the arsenal.
Magdy, the 2019 African Cup champion for players under 23 years old, participated in 63 league matches with Ismaily, scoring 9 goals and sending 5 assists.
Ismaily will start the 2020-2021 league campaign by facing Al-Masry in the channel derby.
