Inter coach Simone Inzaghi praised his team’s performance after qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Bayern Munich and Inter secured a spot in the Champions League final, while Barcelona went to the Europa League before the final round of the group stage.
Inter beat Viktoria Plzen 4-0, while Bayern Munich beat Barcelona by three in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage.
“Of course, passing a group like this means that the team is having a great time,” Inzaghi told beIN Sports. “We played well and reached our qualification goal.”
“We knew there was no choice but to win, we reached a milestone by qualifying for a group that includes Barcelona and Bayern,” he stressed.
And speaking of the best player of the game, he underlined, “I’m not talking about a particular player, but I’m talking about all the players, and the group that participated was good.”
“We have qualified for the next round, but we will play a strong match against Bayern,” he concluded.
Inter will be guests of Bayern Munich during the last round of the group stage, after the two have secured their presence in the final price.
