Former Angolan star Gilberto revealed the scenes of his candidacy for fellow Amado Flavio to join the Red Fort.
“I have had a strong relationship with Flavio since we were young because we played together on the same team,” Gilberto said on OnTime Sports 2.
“Jose wanted to include a striker for Al-Ahly and asked me about Flavio and I told him that he is special and will represent an addition to the team and he is the top scorer in the Angolan league.”
“After that, Flavio starred with Al-Ahly and represented a very strong partnership with Imad Miteb in the team’s attack.”
On his compatriot, Geraldo, the current Al-Ahly player, he said: “Geraldo needed a period of adaptation at the beginning due to the difficulty in playing in Al-Ahly.”
“But Al-Ahly contracted him because he is a distinguished player, so I ask him to do more to win the confidence of the technical staff and the masses.”
