Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football in Al-Ahly, announced his club’s intention to renew the contract of his striker Marawan Mohsen at the earliest opportunity, he said.
Abdel Hafeez told FilGoal.com: “The renewal of Marouane will be at the earliest opportunity to ensure that he continues with the team.”
“There is a conviction and agreement on the importance of Marwan staying with us and he will be spoken to to renew his contract,” he added.
Marwan Mohsen’s contract with Al-Ahly ends at the end of next season.
Marwan Mohsen joined Al-Ahly from the Ismaili ranks in 2016.
During the current season, Marwan participated with Al-Ahly in 17 games, scoring four goals and making two.
In another context, Abdul Hafeez talked about what is being raised about the existence of disputes with Rami Rabiaa, the team’s defender, about renewing his contract.
He said, “Rabia’s contract is ongoing for three years, starting from next season.”
“What is said that there is a crisis between the club and the player is strange and the fabrication of incorrect news,” he said.
