Pyramids goalkeeper Ahmed El Shinnawy responded to what was raised about his fear of playing important and big matches.

“I was torn. Is this called fear?” He asked.
He continued, “I played against Al-Ahly many times, and I won with him, and I was with Pyramids, and I beat Zamalek, and these are great matches that I participated in and participated in a lot of African matches.”
Sun Downs face
Al-Shenawi went on to talk about facing Mamelodi Sun Downs in the final of the 2016 African Champions League final, saying: “I asked for a replacement in the Zamalek and Sun Downs meeting in the African Final because I felt that I was not in good shape.”
