Mohamed Ibrahim succeeded in snatching the three points of the Egyptian El-Maqsat by defeating El-Gouna with a goal without response in the 20th round of the Egyptian League.
Ibrahim scored the only goal of the match in the 66th minute, after the El Gouna defender skipped the ball and landed the net to the left of Islam Tarek, El Gouna’s goalkeeper.
Egypt for clearing raised its score to 20 points in the thirteenth place to move slightly away from the three places leading to the drop.
As for El-Gouna, it sticks to 21 points in eleventh place from 20 matches as well.
Al-Maqsa achieved his first victory over El Gouna since December 2013, when the match ended with an unanswered goal.
Al-Maqsas failed to achieve only one victory against El Gouna in the last 12 matches between the two teams in the Egyptian League.
Mohamed Ibrahim’s goal came against the progress of the match in the second half, after El Gouna was close to scoring had it not been for the misfortune of his attackers and Mahmoud Hamdy, the team’s goalkeeper, shone.
