FIGC, strategic plan for football approved. Serie B abstains

The federal council approved the strategic plan of the FIGC for Italian football. All in favor, including Serie A, and one abstention (Mauro Balata’s Serie B). Resolutions i principles and new parameters financial economic ones which make the clubs’ obligations more stringent, with the liquidity index, the debt indicator and the expanded labor cost indicator which will be admissible for Serie B and C, while for Serie A it has been opted for an alignment towards UEFA discipline.

To this, the FIGC, as a strategic plan, has added an architecture of greater controls during the year to guarantee sustainable management of the clubs with sanctions (yet to be defined) foreseen throughout the season in case of violations. “I am very satisfied – he declared Gravina – because we have achieved an excellent result in terms of the economic-financial recovery of Italian football. We had made a commitment to the stakeholders, also and above all to those who follow football with passion, and we kept it. This multi-year, gradual and proportional sustainability path also qualifies us with respect to the institutions, the Government in particular, because it represents an important assumption of responsibility”.
