Jamie Oliver, 45, and his wife Juliette, 45, also Jools, have been blessed with five children, but the pregnancies have been anything but easy. After the birth of their youngest son River, in 2016, Jools had three miscarriages. The latter she had quarantined three weeks ago. And before River, she already had two.
“It’s dangerous for me, so my family doesn’t want me to get pregnant again”

So Jools had the most recent miscarriage very recently, she reveals in the Made By Mammas Podcast by Zoe Hardman. Jamie and Jools would like to have a sixth child, but it is not easy. “I’ve had three miscarriages since River was born. That makes it hard,” says Jools.

And since she’s 45, time is ticking a bit. She understands that all too well. “I have to check whether it is mentally wise to get pregnant again. And also physically, because I am already almost 46 years old.” Her husband Jamie still sees a sixth child. “I have one more year, otherwise we will close the chapter, because I am very happy with the children we already have.” Yet the blood creeps where it cannot go. “It’s terrible to want something and not be able to stop thinking about it.”
To cope with the miscarriage trauma, Jools visited a doctor who asked her how she is dealing with the situation. The last two miscarriages were also not without danger to herself. She didn’t even tell her mom about the most recent. “It’s dangerous to me, so my family doesn’t want me to get pregnant again.”
