“FIFA 22”: Video game developer ennobles season of two Bochumers

EA Sports is looking for the “Team of the Season” for its “FIFA” video game series. Two people from Bochum can also hope for this award.

Who is on the team of the week? Who gets a new special card? Who is in the “Team of the Year”. Week after week, millions of avid fans of EA Sports’ FIFA video game series await the awards for professional footballers. Now the video game developer from Canada has presented the nominees for the “Team of the Season”, where fans can vote for their favourites. Two Bochum residents are also among the nominees.

Bochum’s number one Manuel Riemann could be voted goalkeeper of the season by the fans. But alongside him there are a number of national keepers who could challenge him for the title. In addition to Germany’s number one Manuel Neuer, Yann Sommer and former MSV keeper Mark Flekken, who recently made his debut in the Dutch national team, are also up for election.

Also Gerrit Holtman has with a Bayern trio, but also the two Dortmunders Jude Bellingham and Marco Reus high competition for his position.

You can still vote on the EA Sports homepage until May 1st. The result is to be announced on May 13th.
