Apriyani/Siti faced Pearly/Thinaah in their inaugural Group B BWF World Tour Finals 2022 match on Court 1 Nimibutr Arena, Wednesday (7/12/2022). In the first match, the match was close.
Open/Sites and Pearly/Thinaah are battling for points. The points exchange of the two pairs lasted until the score was tied at 15-15. At the end of the first game, Apri/Siti struggle to win with a score of 23-21.
The second game has begun, Open/Sites still has strong resistance. The Indonesian double, in fact, had gone down 0-2, before it could start to recover.
Slowly but surely, Open/Sites manages to control the second game. The Indonesian doubles even won halftime in the second game with an 11-9 lead.
Open/Sites hold the lead until almost the end of the second game. Till the end, the victory was won by the Indonesian pair with the score of 21-18.
Also, on Thursday (8/12/2022) Apriyani/Siti will face Zhang Shuxian/Zheng Yu. Previously, the Chinese doubles was defeated by compatriot Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan with a score of 18-21, 21-17, 14-21.
