Pavol Baboš, a political scientist at Comenius University in Bratislava, does not rule out an alliance between SMER and the far right, or the idea that the future Prime Minister is Igor Matovic.
The SMER seems to be cut between a populist fringe represented by Fico and a social democratic fringe by Pellegrini. What is your analysis?
The party is not as divided as that. Both often resort to populist rhetoric while defending traditionally leftist policies.
