The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 is just one month away.
In commemoration of this, “FIBA BASKETBALL WORLD CUP 2023 – ONE MONTH TO GO FESTIVAL IN OKINAWA -” will be held on July 29th (Sat) and 30th (Sun).
On the day of the event, various contents/events will be held inside and outside the Okinawa Arena.
In the outdoor area, we have set up an area where visitors can freely enjoy basketball, including kitchen cars, stalls/restaurant corners, and 3×3 courts provided by Arch to Hoop Okinawa.
In addition, we will also carry out a battle-type trash pickup game, “Pick & Shoot!”
In the arena concourse area, a World Cup support booth will be displayed, including an introduction to the teams participating in the Okinawa group stage.
In addition, in the basketball court area, on the 29th, Yutaka Tamura, Lion Onishi, and YouTuber Sawayan, who are active as “entertainers who love basketball,” will hold a basketball showdown and talk show with junior and senior high school students in Okinawa Prefecture. In the evening, THE BOOM’s Kazufumi Miyazawa and others will appear as OKIMAWA MUSIC LIVE, and an Eisa dance will also be performed.
On the next day, the 30th, a dance battle event will be held by a dance team in Okinawa, welcoming Garage Sale Gori from Okinawa as a guest MC. At the end, Gorie will appear as a special guest, and the venue will be livened up with a one-time special collaboration stage with local dance kids. In addition, a special live show (098 RADIO CONNECTION) by artists related to Okinawa Prefecture such as Awich, and a special gift plan for FBWC2023, where you can win luxurious prizes such as autographed goods of Japanese players, will also be held.
This event will be held by Okinawa City and the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Japan Organizing Committee in commemoration of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, which will be held at the Okinawa Arena in August 2023, with the aim of building momentum for the tournament, stimulating interest in professional sports, and creating opportunities to become familiar with sports.
