Feyenoord score seven times in a 150-minute exhibition match with Go Ahead | Soccer

Feyenoord grabbed a big win against Go Ahead Eagles in a 150-minute exhibition match on Friday. Arne Slot’s team was 7-4 too strong for Deventer’s team at Varkenoord Sports Complex.

The teams played in a special format of four times 38 minutes of play, so that the Feyenoord Slot coach could give all his players just over an hour of play. World Cup player Justin Bijlow missed at Varkenoord.

After just over five minutes of play, the Rotterdam team went 0-1 down with a goal from Isac Lidberg. Orkun Kökçü brought Slot’s side back to the same level after seventeen minutes. The captain conceded a penalty after a hand ball by Jay Idzes.

Not long after, Sebastian Szymanski gave the Rotterdam side a 2-1 lead. Via Patrik Walemark, Igor Paixão and a second goal from Szymanski, Feyenoord expanded the score: 5-1. After 75 minutes of play, Slot brought in eleven new players, after which Ezequiel Bullaude and Alireza Jahanbakhsh were spot on.

Go Ahead did something in the second half through Enric Llansana and Jahnoah Markelo. In the final round, Go Ahead striker Finn Stokkers determined the final score: 7-4.

Feyenoord and Go Ahead are working towards the continuation of the season. The Eredivisie leader will return to action on 8 January when the Rotterdam side visit FC Utrecht. People from Deventer will visit Fortuna Sittard one day early.

FC Groningen won a training match against FC Utrecht on Friday. At the Zoudenbalch sports complex, the Groningen team was 0-3 too strong for Domstedelingen.

Tomás Suslov opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Ricardo Pepi took the 2-0 lead in the 23rd minute, after which he also determined the final score in the 57th minute: 3-0.

Both Groningen and Utrecht are currently without a manager. At FC Utrecht, Henk Fraser was sacked because he behaved like a cross-border player towards a player. The “Pride of the North” recently ended its partnership with Frank Wormuth.
