Fewer corona infections were detected on Saturday than in Friday in Rotterdam and the surrounding area. On Saturday, 29 people were tested positive in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond region. This is evident from the corona dashboard of the national government. On Friday, 58 people were tested positive in this region. There were 48 on Thursday and 35 on Wednesday.
Converted to the number of inhabitants, 2.2 people per 100,000 inhabitants in Rotterdam-Rijnmond tested positive on Saturday.
Nationally, 137 people have been tested positive, the dashboard reports. That is also less than Friday, when 191 people were tested positive.
The number of cases is also falling in Hollands Midden, in which Hillegom is located where there was a local outbreak last week. Converted to the number of inhabitants, 0.9 people per 100,000 were tested positive in Hollands Midden. On Friday, this was 2.6 people out of 100,000.
The number of people tested positive in Amsterdam and the surrounding area has increased slightly. Out of 100.00 inhabitants, 2.1 people tested positive here. On Friday, this was 1.9 people.
