“Sometimes the main problem is not being too tired itself. What’s going on behind it that can tell what the problem is,” sex and intimacy coach Irene Fehr is quoted as saying. Elite Daily, Wednesday (24/11/2021).

Irene revealed that not wanting to have sex is understandable, but there could be a deeper problem if someone says they don’t want to anymore make love.

Too tired to have sex can be a reason to avoid intimacy. According to sex expert Lola Jean, you should also ask yourself about this.

“Is fatigue a pattern? Is it just an excuse? Like a conflict in any case, approach the situation honestly, without judgment or defense if it’s an issue you want to talk about and understand,” said Lola.

Lola added, it is important to remember that sex is something intimate. Talking about it including how often you want it is very important in a relationship.

“If you and your partner have differences in sexual desire, it is important to express your sexual needs. Let your partner know when you feel most ready for sex and when you are not,” says sex therapist, Danica Mitchell.

Telling your partner when it’s a good time for you to have sex can save you from having to use the excuse of being too tired yourself.

Not to forget, there are still other possible problems in the relationship that cause you to be reluctant to make love. Even then the problem is usually bigger than just wanting to reduce the frequency of sex together.

“If your body isn’t actually tired, you may be avoiding intimacy or something is going on with your hormones. If it’s an ongoing problem, you need to talk about it with your partner,” says psychologist, Dr. Jennifer B. Rhodes.
