Fedja van Huêt can with the Danish-Dutch film Speak No Evil twee Critics Choice Super Awards to win. The 49-year-old actor has a chance to win the prize for the best actor in a horror film. The film itself was nominated in the best horror film category.
Van Huêt’s opponent is his wife Karina Smulders. They play in Speak No Evil a couple who befriend a Danish couple on holiday, played by Sidsel Siem Koch and Morten Burian.
Van Huêt has to compete against renowned actors such as Ethan Hawke (The Black Phone), Ralph Fiennes (The Menu) en Justin Long (Barbarian).
The Critics Choice Super Awards are a derivative of the regular Critics Choice Awards. The awards show was created to draw more attention to popular genres, such as superhero movies, science fiction, fantasy, action and horror. The awards will be presented on March 16.
Van Huêt became known in the Netherlands for roles in films such as Character, Soof in The Conviction.
