FedEx driver ejected from her vehicle: dramatic crash in New York

A young female FedEx driver was seriously injured after being ejected from her delivery truck during a collision with an SUV in Brooklyn yesterday afternoon.

According to NYPD, the FedEx truck and an Infiniti SUV collided in Glenwood Road around 3 p.m. The 27-year-old delivery driver was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition, reported Daily News.

Images at the scene captured the FedEx truck partially up on the curb. The Infiniti driver, a 22-year-old man, suffered a laceration to his arm. Neither was immediately identified and the cause of the collision was being investigated.

“Our thoughts remain focused on the well-being of those involved in this incident,” a FedEx spokesman was quoted as saying. Pix11. “The safety of our team members is our top priority and we are fully cooperating with investigating authorities.”

In addition to gun violence, traffic accidents are another big challenge for the new mayor, Eric Adams, after a disastrous legacy from his predecessor, Bill De Blasio. New York City has experienced a 35% increase in traffic accidents so far this year, stated NYPD in mid-April. At the end of that month there was a tragic streak in NYC at an average of one person killed by a run over every day.
