There will be no changes to the match times for the coming season in the highest league. Two games normally take place on Saturdays (6 p.m./8.30 p.m.), three on Sundays (2.15 p.m./4.30 p.m.). However, due to a stadium bottleneck, the Grasshoppers and Lucerne will only start a week later (against Lugano and FCZ respectively).
Depending on how FCZ performs in the European Cup qualifiers, there may still be changes to the scheduling of some rounds. Because of the World Cup in Qatar (November 21 to December 18), the winter break begins on November 13 and lasts for two months. The 126th Swiss Championship will be continued on 21/22. January 2023 with the 17th round.
The season finale will take place on Whit Monday, May 29, 2023. In the following week, the barrage games will take place, in which, due to the decided change in mode, the tenth will not take part as usual in the Super League, but instead the ninth. There is no direct relegation in the course of the forthcoming increase in the league to twelve teams.
Two teams will be promoted directly from the Challenge League, which starts on July 15 with the game between Aarau and Vaduz. The third contests the barrage.
