FC Rouen 2023/2024 National Season: Schedule, Reunions, and Reinforcements

It is outside that FC Rouen will reconnect with the National after a decade of absence: the Red Devils take the stage on the field of Dijon this Friday August 11, 2023 at 7:30 p.m.

Here are the Red Devils hard at work to seal their reunion with the National. President Charles Maarek’s club will work to get off to a good start in this 2023/2024 season sanctioned by the relegation of six clubs. In other words, one resident of the National out of three will have to say goodbye to him… The first two will go up, the teams from 13th to 18th place will cry.

The opening day reserves for the FCR a trip of the perilous kind to the Gaston-Gérard stadium in Dijon this Friday August 11 at 7:30 p.m. The promoted and champion of Normandy France is immediately entitled to a big piece: the Côte d’Or club, relegated from Ligue 2 (18th in the standings), lost its place in the elite in 2021.

After this introduction in the form of a baptism of fire, the rest will not be easier on Friday August 18 since the first guest of the Diochon stadium is called Nîmes Olympique, another relegated from Ligue 2. The Crocos, who wear the same colors as the eleven local (red and white), finished the previous exercise in position of penultimate.

For the third day, August 28, the FCR will have the honor of a broadcast on Canal+ Foot. Indeed, FC Versailles – FC Rouen will be the offbeat poster on Monday, live at 9 p.m. in front of the cameras of the encrypted channel. Once again, adversity noted for the Reds, against a Parisian club very comfortable in National for its first season at this level (5th place).

Subsequently, the Red Devils will notably cross swords with the other relegated Annecy and Niort as well as with the promoted Marignane-Gignac Côte Bleue, Epinal and Goal FC (Grand Ouest Association Lyonnaise). A big name in hexagonal football is also waiting for them: Nancy, November 24 at the Marcel-Picot stadium then April 19, 2024 at Diochon.
