Third is Bayer 04 Leverkusen, who, thanks to reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League, will receive more money from international TV marketing and can therefore expect EUR 78.5 million (+EUR 3.0 million) – and thus only slightly less than runners-up BVB. With 77.6 million euros and a minus of 700,000 euros, DFB Cup winner RB Leipzig is just behind in fourth.

In total, the German Football League (DFL) distributes around 1.3 billion euros in TV money to the 36 clubs in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. The two promoted players in particular benefit: Second division champions 1. FC Heidenheim can look forward to 36.1 million euros and thus 22.5 million more than in 2022/23. SV Darmstadt 98 receives 32.5 million euros after last 14.6 million euros.

1. FC Union has the biggest increase behind them. The Berliners, who qualified for the Champions League for the first time, recorded a plus of 11.1 million euros and are sixth in the ranking with 66 million euros. In addition, there is the TV money from UEFA. Meanwhile, the clubs Borussia Mönchengladbach (-6.1 to 60.6 million) and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (-7.1 to 55.9 million), which are rather disappointing in terms of their own claims, received the biggest minus.
