While FC Lugano recently counted on the counterattack, FCB will meet an opponent in Lausanne who wants to play himself. “Lausanne is very good in terms of play, the players have shown that many times,” says Sforza, who therefore expects nothing less from his team than that they bring a “top performance” on the pitch. “Everyone has to give everything up to the last second.”
Sforza seems to miss this passion, especially in his younger actors. At the media conference it became quite clear that scorer Arthur Cabral and top assistants Afimico Pululu are “young talents”, but not always throw everything into the balance in the training units. “I want to feel that they are getting better, always wanting to accelerate and always want to win,” Sforza made clear.
Most recently, the FCB coach relied on the established forces, perhaps also to tickle the boys a little. One of the older guard is Amir Abrashi, a newcomer from Freiburg, who showed against Lugano why he can be so important for the team. “He goes where it hurts. We need one like that, ”Sforza stated.
