“Fascists at the stake”, threats on the headquarters of the old electoral committee of Fitto a Maglie

A writing “fascists at the stake”, in red paint, appeared on the window of a place in the center of Maglie which in the past hosted the minister’s electoral committee Raffele Fitto (FdI) and which still displays the party sign with the minister’s name. This was announced by the mayor of Maglie, Ernesto Tomawith a post on social media.

“It is clear that the president’s good governance Giorgia Meloni and the victory of the centre-right in Basilicata – writes Toma – is poorly digested by someone who during the night daubed an electoral committee (closed, but in the center of Maglie) of the minister Raffaele Fitto with an intimidating slogan: fascists at the stake”.

“The perpetrators will not remain unknown for long, the carabinieri are investigating – concludes the mayor – I express my condemnation for the ignoble and vile gesture and all my solidarity with Minister Fitto on behalf of the entire city”.

The regional councilors of Fratelli d’Italia also intervened in the case. “Strong condemnation of the intimidating writings that appeared this morning in Maglie on the entrance door of the central electoral committee. The threatening words ‘fascists at the stake’ speak volumes about the intention of those who aim, in the darkness of the night, to create a political climate full of hate.”

The group leader declared it Francesco Ventola e Luigi Caroli, Giannicola De Leonardis, Antonio Gabellone, Renato Perrini e Michele Picaro“A clear attempt – they underline – to pollute the democratic dialogue which is the basis of every political confrontation, which we send back to the sender, who we hope has immediately a face and a name. Italians know well, however, who to stand with and who to vote for , and they also demonstrated this on Sunday and yesterday with the reconfirmation of the centre-right at the helm of Basilicata, an indirect confirmation also for the work and political project of Giorgia Meloni”.
