Marc Calon will step down as chairman of the LTO Netherlands agricultural and horticultural organization. The position of the farmer leader had been under pressure for some time. The final months of Calon’s time as an LTO boss have been marked by clashes with the Farmers Defense Force and the Agriculture Collective and ultimately the decision to step out of the Agriculture Collective – a “one-man operation,” according to the farmers’ lobby.
