The 16-year-old Niels is one of the many who is on the way to Stroe early on Wednesday morning with the tractor, he comes from Loosbroek. “We ride with a lot of people, so that’s nice,” he says. Niels says about the demonstration of this afternoon: “Yes, we have to do something. We can’t do much else, or we stop. I also want to become a farmer in the future, but if things go according to the plans, that’s no longer possible.”
Several drivers stop for a short break at a gas station along the A50. This includes a motorist, who has been on the road from Den Bosch for seven o’clock. “The traffic jam is quite manageable, if you’re patient,” she laughs.
