Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 9 – Finally a reliable fantasy-packed ending? – TOUCHDOWN 24

The tight end has been a wasteland of fantasy for years and this season was no exception. Before week 8, only ten tight ends averaged at least 10 PPR points per game, not a pretty sight. But the hope for desperate managers may lie in the renunciation thread, where a rookie has been the focus of growing attention in recent weeks. Find out who he is and what other tips we have for you in the Fantasy Waiver Wire for week 9 of the NFL.

My overall pickup list:

1. Foreman D’Onta
2. Greg Dulcich
3. Rondale Moore

Quarterback Waiver Wire Week 9

Justin Fields, Chicago Bears, 39.1% on the list

How many more times do we have to see this before we elevate Fields to the weekly fantasy beginning state? Fields finished the week again as one of the top 12 quarterbacks, for the fourth consecutive year. His 76 carries, 423 running yards and three ground touchdowns are all in second place in the league, behind just one Lamar Jackson. Fields is a fantasy starter only due to his frenetic production and emerging N’Keal Harry will still capture a deep pass or two of Fields (average target depth: 10.1 yards). If you are still dragging Aaron Rodgers or Matthew Stafford into your lineup, stop what you are doing and make a waiver request for Fields.

Marcus Mariota, Atlanta Falcons, 34.6% on the list

Mariota was the 12th best fantasy quarterback to enter Week 8, throwing 253 passing yards, 43 running yards and three touchdowns for his fourth top 10 performance of the year. He is in the top 5 for quarterback running attempts (53) and like Fields he gives you a very safe floor. The Falcons also have the second easiest schedule for the rest of the season, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF), which also gives the 29-year-old a roof.

Deep League or Stash: Sam Ehlinger, Indianapolis Colts, 3.7% on the roster

Ehlinger’s early start in the NFL was promising, even as the Colts gave up a nine-point lead towards the end of the game. The sophomore pulled early on his external receivers Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce, but with six floor runs (three scrambles, three designed runs) he has already shown his mobility, providing fantasy managers with a safe floor week after week. Ehlinger deserves a waiver request in the lower leagues and Superflex leagues as over time he should become even more confident about the Colts’ attack.

Wireback waives Wire week 9

D’Onta Foreman, Carolina Panthers, 65.2% in shifts

In the absence of the injured Chuba Hubbard, Foreman took over the Panthers’ backfield and made a dominant performance on the field with 26 carries for 118 yards and three touchdowns. The only problem is that Foreman still can barely get any shots from the third down, a role that Hubbard will definitely return to when he’s back in shape. The Panthers depend heavily on their shoulders, though, and I can’t understand why Carolina would cut Foreman’s shots after that performance. He is a touchdown addict RB2 and should no longer fluctuate on forfeit in any league.

Khalil Herbert, Chicago Bears, 51.5% on the list

Herbert continues to be the Bears’ most productive runner, which has earned him more and more carries in recent weeks. Herbert has 564 yards in the running this season, while starter David Montgomery has 361 yards despite an extra carry. As long as Montgomery dominates the shots, it will still be hard to count on Herbert, but his expanded role of him could carry self-worth in the coming weeks. The 24-year-old has long been the best handcuff in the league.

Deep Championships or Escort: James Cook, Buffalo Bills, 17.1% roster

Cook overtook Zach Moss in Bills’ depth chart and is the clear backup of owner Devin Singletary. In the explosive win over the Packers, the rookie showed, among other things, with a 41-yard catch that can turn into an explosive weapon for Buffalo from the backfield. The Vikings star’s brother Dalvin doesn’t appear on the pitch often enough to be eligible for lineups, but he’s one of the best reserves coming into the fantasy playoffs.

Wide receiver waiver wire Week 9

Rondale Moore, Arizona Cardinals, 3.7% on the list

The Cardinals are fighting a three-way home battle for the third receiver role, but Moore has established himself as the clear number two for a few weeks. Depending on the game plan, he mainly plays in the slot or as an external receiver, but has already shown his fantasy potential in both roles. Over the weekend, Moore took seven balls for 92 yards and one score and, as usual, landed another run attempt. In the last four games, Moore has had seven explosive plays, according to the PFF, only 12 league receivers had more. Moore is a strong flexible game and could even enter the WR2 range with better efficiency. Why he only has a holder in 3.7% of all leagues is a question I don’t even know the answer to.

Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts, 33.7% on the list

As noted in Ehlinger’s text above, the main focus of the second year in his first NFL start was his outside receivers – more than half of his goals went wide, while he only hit the running backs and tight twice each. . Eventually he threw it. This saw Pierce increase his target rate by nearly 10 percent (26.3 yards from 17.7 percent), while his average or target depth shot through the stars (21.2 yards from the previous season’s high of 15, 5 yards). If Ehlinger stays that aggressive, Pierce will have a chance to make big plays every week. Being a flexible game with rise, the rookie is already worth a bet.

Deep Championships or Escort: Terrace Marshall Jr., Carolina Panthers, 0.1% in rounds

Since Robbie Anderson’s departure to the Cardinals, Marshall has established himself as the number two in Carolina. The sophomore is still only 22 and he was a superstar in college. His time in Carolina has been a disappointment so far, but Marshall may be one of those young receivers who break out at the end of the season every year. He caught four balls for 87 yards over the weekend.

Narrow End Exemption Thread Week 9

Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos, 6.2% on the list

Could Dulcich be the long-awaited answer from many fantasy managers to the question of a reliable fantasy tight ending? The rookie led the Broncos in received yards (87) in London and has now finished as TE1 (top 12) for three consecutive weeks. Dulcich is on the pitch for almost all passes and is no longer limited to 11 people. His 19.7 percent target rate is still just off the top 12 tight ends, but as usual for rookies, it’s likely to increase as the season progresses. In short: Dulcich is already a fictional holder and has even more potential: take him to every league where he is available!

Tyler Conklin, New York Jets, 27.1% enlisted

Conklin was a Target monster early in the season, but in recent weeks he has been losing more and more playing time against CJ Uzomah, especially on the low thirds. Against the Patriots, the 27-year-old recovered some of those shots and was a popular pass for Zach Wilson (two touchdowns) in the red zone. Conklin won’t stage a performance like this every week, but the Jets have the second lightest schedule for tight ends during the Fantasy Playoffs, according to the PFF. Stash or starter, Conklin should have one more owner in every fourth league.

Deep Leagues or Escort: Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens, 1.1% roster

Mark Andrews missed all of the previous week’s free practice sessions due to a knee injury, but then played against the Buccaneers on Thursday night, only to leave the game early with a shoulder injury. We assume a period of inactivity of between one and four weeks, but we will probably find out more only during the week. In Andrews’ absence, Likely took on the role of almost one-on-one superstar, taking six balls for 77 yards and one score. If Andrews misses Sunday against the Saints, the rookie is a contender in instant TE1 and the best streaming game of the week.

Defensive Guard – Week 9:

Minnesota Vikings @ Washington Commanders, 14.7% on the list

The Vikings have a respectable passing run in Za’Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter and now face an onslaught from commanders struggling to protect their quarterback. Also, Taylor Heinicke is always good for an interception. He starts the Vikings with confidence.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Carolina Panthers, 27.5% on the list

The Bengal defense is not really a top player, but they have played a solid season so far and are pushing one or the other turnover. I still don’t really believe PJ Walker’s “Panthers rebound”, who should have more trouble against reigning AFC champion.
