Harry Potter friends can hardly wait for the sequel to start: Fantastic Beasts recently received an official German title. And now it has finally been revealed when the next part will flicker on the German cinema screens. In this text we will tell you when it should be ready and what else we know about the film.
It’s been a while since cinema-goers enjoyed a film from the Harry Potter universe. The main series is of course long over, but the offshoot film series Fantastic Beasts is all the more popular. The first blockbuster came out in 2016, followed by Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald’s Crimes in 2018. So three years have passed since we saw popular characters like Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler).
Fortunately, the wait is over now, because Part 3 is making good progress at the moment. Only recently the official film title of the sequel was revealed. This will be called The Secrets Of Dumbledore. The complete German film title is accordingly: Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets. So the story of the kind-hearted Hogwarts Headmaster is at the forefront of the plot. In the new film we will of course see the much younger version of the magician again, played by Hollywood star Jude Law.
In addition to Newt Scamander, Albus Dumbledore and Jacob Kowalksi, there will also be other well-known faces. These include, for example, Credence Barebone (Ezra Miller), Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston), Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol) and Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner). Gellert Grindelwald is also back as the villain, but is not played by curse the Caribbean star Johnny Depp. Instead, Mads Mikkelsen does the honor, whom we know from films like James Bond: Casino Royal and Der Rausch or the series Hannibal. Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets is set to launch in the United States on April 15, 2022. German viewers, on the other hand, can look forward to a positive surprise: The film will arrive in German cinemas eight days earlier and therefore on April 7, 2022.
