Fans decorated the car with signs of their beloved “Banga” team

The people of Gargždiški, true fans of the Gargždi football team “Banga”, decided to even go to the match in an extraordinary way: they decorated the new car with the team’s signs. True, this is not the end: the car’s hood should feature the fans’ symbol – a tiger – in the future.

“Since the car is green, it’s a pity that we could only use two colors, because blue and green don’t go together,” said Tomas Bubelis, the son of the car owner, about the car decorated with white-orange waves and a soccer ball.
Gargždiški revealed that they are true fans of the Banga football team: Vaidotas Losis said that before the pandemic, he had not missed a single match of the team, even the friendlies.
“In the past, more people came to watch the competition and support the team,” said Vaidotas. Now there are 4 “die-hard” fans left, of which at least one or two, if there is an opportunity, definitely go to the competition to support the team: V. Losis, the owner of the decorated car Vladas Bubelis, his son T. Bubelis and Aldas Mockus.
V. Losis has supported “Banga” since the beginning of the team’s establishment. As he said, his sister’s husband played football, and he used to take him to competitions when he was still young. That’s how the love for football remains to this day. Vaidot’s neighbor Tom also became interested in football – at the age of 12, he first went to a match to cheer for “Banga”, and it became a way of spending his free time. “This is our hobby – who goes to sunbathe in the summer, and we go to the stadium,” the fans said with a laugh. According to Tomas and Vaidots, it is important to support your city’s team, after all, Gargždai is a football city.
The Gargždiškis said that there used to be a fan group that actively supported the Gargždi “Wave” – ​​the “Tiger team”. A large group of people and children gathered to watch the competition and support the team, even full buses drove by. Fans revealed that they had to experience some adventures during their travels, for example, a broken down bus made them late for their favorite team’s match. It is true that the currently existing non-governmental organization has already been deregistered. But the spirit of support and the desire to root for “The Wave” did not disappear anywhere. Fans Vladas, Tomás and Vaidots not only decorated the car, but also hung a scent for the cars of the “Banga” team inside it, Gargžd residents also have outfits with the team’s attributes: t-shirts, jumpers, even jackets, as well as scarves and hats. A pendant with the symbol of the “Banga” team is attached to the car keys, and the flag of the “Banga” football team is flying in the yard. “The most important thing is to take a good mood to the competition and be ready to support your team with loud chants,” the fans said. They mentioned the well-known chant: “Who will win, who will win?” The “Wave” of Gargžds! Also another: “All rivers are deep – Minja is the deepest!” “Banga” is the best.” Gargždiški told that there is even a song about Gargždis, “Banga”, and showed the original recorded disc.
Tomas and Vaidotas invite everyone who wants to root for the Gargžda football team “Banga” and go to the competition to the main fan stand. “When more people gather, it’s more fun,” Tom is convinced. Fans go to all competitions held in Gargždai, and now the newly decorated car will continue the tradition of going to support “Bangas” playing in other cities. The next away match is scheduled for June 26 in Kaunas. with the Kaunas football club “Žalgiris”.
