This Friday, Grupo Famsa filed a voluntary application, under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in New York, United States, in order to obtain authorization for its new restructuring plan.
According to the statement, published on its website, the company will continue to operate normally to avoid hindering business or agreements with clients, suppliers and creditors.
The decision of this bankruptcy ruling according to Humberto Garza Valdez, Famsa CEO, was taken unanimously to remain in the market, because with the projected cash flow from the operations, it will be enough to finance them.
With this process, they ensure that none of their creditors and employees will be affected.
