Family members Martien R. also no longer want to participate in ‘mock trial’ | Inland

Live via twitterThe close relatives of Martien R. also no longer want to participate in the criminal case against the Osse caravan family. They announced this in the Bossche court on Tuesday morning. “This is a mock trial,” said Toon R., Martien’s cousin.

Martien R. announced on Friday morning that he no longer made sense in the process , because he no longer had ‘any faith’ in a fair trial. He and his lawyer Jan-Hein Kuijpers then left the room. After the judges announced a few hours later that they will not be withdrawing, they announced that they are going to reconsider.

‘No boycott’

Some suspects will remain present at the trial, it has now become clear. For example, Driekus N. and his son Martien will just keep coming. But brother Tinus, nephew Toon, son Anton, ‘adjutant’ Arnold M. and Helmond ‘weapon man’ Frank L will shine through their absence, they said this morning. “And that is not a boycott, because the court may continue as usual,” said Mark Nillesen, lawyer of Arnold M. The lawyers accuse the court of a ‘lack of curiosity’. “The scales are not in balance. The court has an eye and ear for the vision of the Public Prosecution Service, but not for the input of the lawyers ”, argued Febe Schoolderman, lawyer of son Anton R.

Toon R., Martien’s 41-year-old cousin, got into trouble with the court chairman when he dismissed the two prosecutors as ‘liars’. “I think so, so I say it. And the court maintains the amount of the ladies ”, Toon R. insisted.

Cocaine transport

Of the fifteen suspects, eight are assisted by a lawyer from the office of Jan-Hein Kuijpers and Mark Nillesen. Kuijpers said on Friday that his colleagues will draw the same line as he: so don’t go. Today’s hearing was said to be about an intercepted 315 kilogram of cocaine transport. It is not yet clear whether that will continue, now that of the seven suspects involved only Driekus N. wants to remain in prison.

In the corridors of the court before the start of the session, a short exchange of words arose between Tinus R. and Driekus N.
