BVGood news from the Erika Van Tielen (38) household. The actress/presenter and her boyfriend Kristof got engaged. She told that on the red carpet of the Weekend Cowboys play. The couple has been together for almost three years.

“A month ago Kristof proposed to me during a romantic dinner at a restaurant in Westmalle,” says Erika. “Suddenly he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. I completely fell out of the sky. But of course I immediately said ‘yes’. There is no wedding date yet, but there is no rush. The idea that we will get married is more important than the execution. But I am very happy. With Kristof I have really found the man of my life.”

Erika and Kristof have been together for almost three years, but they are not living together yet. “That is for practical reasons. We both have children from a previous relationship and of course they prefer to stay in their environment. For my two sons it is Zoersel, for Kristof’s son it is Hoegaarden. That’s a serious distance. But the kids are happy that we are getting married.”

Meanwhile, Erika is mainly busy reading spots and presentation work after she had to disappear from Family last year after five seasons. “My character Amelie is still alive. She runs a B&B in Ireland and can therefore still return. But for now there are no plans in that direction and I am not waiting for a phone call. Will I be at the 30th Family Celebration in the Lotto Arena? I haven’t heard of that yet. It falls on my birthday, by the way.” This Sunday she can be seen on the screen as a table guest at Vive Le Vélo on One. “Cycling is a passion that Kristof and I share.”
