Not only that, the field conditions were windy and different from the last match, forcing them to adapt quickly.
“The field was quite windy and the shuttlecock was also different from the last game, so we had to adapt quickly, especially since the first round was not easy for the opponent,” Rian explained.
At the last meeting, the world’s number one men’s doubles did win over Kim / Anders. However, from head to head Fajar/Rian lost 1-2 to Kim/Anders. They lost at Malaysia Open 2018 and Bitburger Badminton Open 2017.
“We have to focus from the start because every player is now equally strong, everyone’s level is the same, whoever is ready on the field will win,” said Rian.
