Currently there are more than 1,000 new infections daily in the Big Apple, of which 70% correspond to the Delta variant. Faced with this worrying figure, Councilor Mark Levine suggested to Mayor Bill De Blasio to restore the measure of mandatory wearing of face masks in closed public spaces to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
