Facebook tests its dark mode on its mobile applications
For now, if you want to enjoy Facebook in dark mode, you have to go through the computer version of the site. The dark mode is well tested in the applications mobiles. However, this functionality is currently only available to a “small percentage” of users worldwide, according to a spokesperson for the social network. In other words, you most likely don’t get it right away. But one thing is certain, the dark mode in Facebook’s mobile applications is being finalized.
No one knows when it will be available to the general public
The American giant has already integrated this dark mode in a number of its applications, including Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. Difficult to know why the main application is the last to benefit from it, but SMT clarified that, Facebook having a huge number of mobile users – no less than 3 billion active monthly on the different applications -, it is quite logical that the firm of Menlo Park takes its precautions before deploying this long-awaited dark mode. The goal is to not let pass any bug or design concern that could affect millions of users directly. In other words, you will have to wait a little longer before you can enjoy Facebook’s dark mode on your smartphone.
