Facebook launches chatbot on WhatsApp and Messenger to show how companies can connect with customers through messages

Facebook launches a chatbot in WhatsApp Y Messenger, as part of your campaign Where conversations get better, to help companies interested in messaging as a sales and customer service channel.

The chatbot presents the concept Conversational Business, created by Facebook to highlight the benefits of messaging tools for businesses. Through the bot, companies of all sizes will be able to gain insights into the benefits of engaging in customer conversations, success stories, and even safety tips.

People have expressed a preference for interacting with businesses via WhatsApp and Messenger, whether to ask questions about a product, make an appointment, or buy a product, due to its familiarity and ease of use. An Offerwise survey, commissioned by Facebook IQ, shows that 81% * of respondents in Latin America believe that companies should offer purchase by message services.

“For a long time, companies, especially small ones, have used applications to connect with their customers. We have seen the development and interest in the subject, transforming messaging applications into an important channel to discover and convert purchases ”, explains the director of Facebook Business Marketing for Latin America, Debora Nitta. “Nothing better than using a chatbot to accurately communicate to our customers about this trend,” concludes the executive.
