Earlier this spring, Facebook started to come up with an updated site design to users around the world, but so far Facebook has also included an option that lets you revert to its old user interface. Again in September, this option will disappear, meaning you’ll be stuck with Facebook’s new design whether you like it or not.

With more spacious columns and faster performance, Facebook’s new design looks a lot like Twitter’s standard UI, but with a few extra tabs and sections for things like groups, videos, and more. In short, Facebook’s new design looks a lot like its mobile UI, just scaled up for the desktop.

As indicated by Endgadget, Facebook began alerting users to the forced design change via a feedback notification stating that “the classic Facebook experience will no longer be available from September,” followed by a short survey asking if users prefer the classic due to missing features.

Along with a new look, Facebook’s redesign also comes with handy bonus features, including the ability to preview new groups before they go live, more streamlined navigation, and most notably a new built-in dark mode option. .
